After the obligatory 2 hour ride to the Shanghai airport, we were rearing to get on the plane and.....sleep....well, it was a midnight flight!
After some excellent Uberfood cake got us through we boarded our Cebu Pacific flight and we were off!
After a rather non eventful flight (and only about 20 mins sleep), we arrived at 4am at Manila airport and waited to board our flight to Boracay....tights were off and the heat was rising!
After a quick game of Frisbee and a quick cap nap from Anna....minus the snoring and sleep talking that was to come later in the holiday (he he), we had arrived!
The flight back, however was a little more eventful! Plane delays at a frightfully small waiting room, packed with more and more people every second (I am sure it would be a safety risk in NZ), delayed planes arriving on time, limited duty free, a fright when we thought we were missing the plane (our names over the loud speaker - false alarm) and being greeted in China at midnight with threats of quarantine and faces peering out from face masks.....SWINE FLU!
Luckily, like the way it started, we finished the holiday with delicious Lemon Cafe, Boracay - flourless chocolate cake...oh the guilty pleasures!
Thankfully by 3am I was showered, refreshed and home safely in bed!
