These are the most expensive togs in the world!!!! How?
Well, after realising that my togs had been good old faithfuls for me for more than 5 years I decided it was time for some new ones! It probably helped that everytime I went for a swim I had to do the one armed crawl so I could actually hold up my bottoms with the other hand!
After debating about internet purchasing I found 'Sunburn' a shop that I saw all the time on holidays to the Gold Coast. They had a great website and were so helpful with inquiries and everything! So excited, I ordered 3 pairs (I am a girl!) and waited in anticipation.
This is more than I would usually spend but I thought...why not....I'll be living in them for a week and if they last as long as my others, I will be happy!
On arriving in China, I get a funny email only written in Chinese....it is from the Shanghai Airport.....they have my togs in posession! Long story short - I had to pay duty on them and delivery fee (Shanghai is 2 hours away!) So not impressed I was asked if I still wanted them...hmmmmmm....let me think...YES! and I forked over the nearly Y900 (NZ$200 - almost the same price as the togs!!!!!)
Thank god I got a lot of use out of them and they fit! Also I got a free sarong which was my staple wardrobe! All this for 4 measly pieces of material - Go figure!
NEVER AGAIN! - Mum be expecting packages to forward onto me from now on!
